This repair kit fixes a busted male screw end from the el cheapo Furinno Turn-N-Tube particle board/polyethylene tube user-assembled furniture, particularly this one shown below. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media To repair: First you need to cut the damaged end as straight as possible and as close to the end as possible. Print the two halves flat as shown in the screenshot. Ideally use 0.1 mm layer height but 0.2 should also work. ABS or PETG are recommended because they don't permanently deform under load. Do a dry run first: -- put the two halves together, -- screw them into the female end of a tube, -- then insert the repair kit into the cutout end making sure you match the flattened surfaces to the corresponding flat surfaces in the inside of the tube. This is important both for a good fit and for ensuring the screw repair kit doesn't slip inside the tube when you are reassembling the furniture. -- If the fit inside the cut tube is too loose, either wrap the repair parts in duck tape, or add layers of ducktape in between the two halves. Put a dollop of super glue gel or gorilla glue on one of the inner surfaces of the two halves, then attache them together. Again, screw the two halves into the female part of another tube to ensure they properly align while the glue is curing. Smear some super glue gel or gorilla glue inside the inner lip/edge of the cut out tube you're repairing; go a full circle with the glue. Insert the repair kit into the cutout tube, position everything properly. Leave the two assembled tubes untouched for 24 hours for a complete cure. You can see what the repaired tube is supposed to look like in the image below: 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
