Description
Reusable Cable Tie / Zip Tie V2 - Print-in-Place This is a complete redesign of my original model, featuring a thinner (0.4mm) cable tie/zip tie for improved flexibility and a print-in-place rotating locking mechanism. The original version can be found at the bottom of the page. To use this zip tie, simply insert the rotating end through one of the slots and twist it 90 degrees—it should securely lock in place. You can also refer to the images for clearer instructions. This was designed and printed using a Bambu Labs printer. If you're using a different printer, make sure it can handle tight tolerances . The cable tie/zip tie may require some force to twist the mechanism the first time, but afterward, it should rotate smoothly or with slight friction. Use a 0.4mm nozzle or smaller, larger nozzles will cause the mechanism to seize. Most materials should work—I’ve tested it with both PLA and PETG , and functions as intended. Due to the thin design of the cable tie/zip tie, most materials should flex and not crack. However, avoid using TPU, as the locking mechanism may not work correctly.
