Backstory: I liked 3DPrinty's dice tower core for his rollup dice box, but I miss the functionality of having storage inside the center of the scroll. This is my take on the dice core so I can have my cake and eat it too. Removing the core top allows you to take the central rotating core out, and now you can break off a removable storage case that hides inside. The core can still be reliably twisted to open the dice tower while the parts are connected. It still functions like the original dice tower for the most part - the only caveat being that you can now accidentally overload the tower with dice and get them stuck if you just dump a handful of dice inside. It can still only handle one die at a time, much like the original, but the hole on top happens to be larger now. The case is plenty large for several standard 1-inch figures, an extra few sets of dice, perhaps a small hit point counter or something, maybe some coins or accessories. Printing: I used 3 walls, 3 top & bottom layers, and 15% infill at 0.2mm layer height. Everything is designed to print with no supports. Printing orientation is shown in the gallery above, but should be self-explanatory. BOM: 12x 3x6mm cylindrical neodymium magnets a small length of filament super glue Assembly: Put the magnets in the designated spots so everything sticks. I'm sure you can figure it out, but here's where all the magnets go. The two halves of the top part are the same, just make sure the magnets hold the capsule closed. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Stuff the small length of filament through the tiny channel in the back of the capsule. One long piece of filament will run through all three sections of the hinge. Trim it to length once you run it all through. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
