Description
This is the casting mold for a romantic oil lamp/candle. Required: -some kind of fine-grained cement (e.g. grout). Plaster might also work -a bit of oil/grease to coat the mold -a wick -lamp oil / lighter fluid -tape The mold has very thin walls so it can be easily removed from the object. It also has a cut in the middle, allowing it to be printed in two parts. Print the mold with the fuel reservoir facing downward and enable supports. This infill structure also helps when removing the fuel reservoir shape from the casting afterward. Instructions: Print the mold. Tape the two mold parts together (make sure they are sealed as tightly as possible). Take food-grade grease or general-purpose grease and coat the mold (a cotton swab helps reach all corners). Pour the casting material into the mold. Any fine-pored cement-based material should work; I used grout. You are using it on your own risk! Fire and fuel might pose some danger.
