Description

I originally was going to use fabemit's end effector platform with the BLTouch probe, but the more I read up on how to make it work, the more I saw that having the probe offset from the centerpoint of the delta end effector platform could cause geometry issues. Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't... but then I found the piezo sensor option. This remix (actually, I remodeled it from scratch but used fabemit's models as reference, so they definitely get credit) has a spot to mount a 20mm piezoelectric sensor disc under the groovemount clamp for the hot end. Poke the nozzle, and since the leverage is transmitted directly to the groovemount clamp bracket, it should trip the sensor if the piezo hardware is calibrated correctly. In theory. Mine's printing right now on my Rostock as its last print in its current config. I'll post updates if needed. Revision 2: I changed the tolerances on the pegs for the delta arm ball joints to be a little less snug of a fit. I also moved the indent for the piezo disc from the mounting flange to the top of the end effector platform, so the mounting flange can be printed flat - the prior design didn't have any good angle to print it at, even if it probably would have been preferable mechanically for activating the sensor.
