Description
What This is a simple yet very rugged Apple AirPods case that I made for my kids. This case is based off my " Super Customizable Rugged Box in OpenSCAD " where you make virtually any size rugged case/box you could possibly need. If you have a multi material unit (MMU) you can easily personalize these as I have. Prerequisites You will need 3 x M3 - 25mm screws to assemble (NO tape or adhesives) Printing There are 3 major parts to this case; The Case The main case can be printed in PLA or PETG. I've printed one each. The Insert must be printed in TPU! It's pretty thin and I recommend turning on the “Avoid Crossing Parameters” setting to reduce any internal stringing. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media And “YES” the holes in the model after slicing are okay and meant to be there to reduce suction when removing the the AirPods from the case. The Latch There are 4 different versions of the latch. The more accurate your printer is, the tighter latch you'll want to print. for a Prusa or Bambu, you'll likely ant to print on of the tighter latches. For an Ender 3, you'll want to print one of the looser latches.
