Description
This is a 3d print to plug off a small block chevy 350 water pump ports. Used to plug off all the ports to apply a small amount of air pressure to the water jackets on each side of the block to check for cracks. Upson installing a 383 stroker crank shaft, I wanted a way to plug these ports off to check and make sure I didn't remove too much material. Applied Tape to the block surface so the RTV wouldn't stick to the block. Let it setup to make it reusable. Could use a piece of rubber and cut it to fit, but I didn't have any on hand. SBC350 Cooling System operates at 15-16 PSI, I preformed my test at 40 psi. I used rubber core plugs, old head gasket and head for this test. Printed from PETG (Could Probably use PLA, I just wanted to ensure it was strong to hold Air Pressure). See the print settings I used.
