Description
To be clear and fully transparent. This is not my work, the only thing I did was import the original file, scaled it down to 10% and saved it. All credit and praise belongs to and should route to https://www.thingiverse.com/ZerekMasters How to scale this helmet: Import the model into your preferred slicer and flip the helmet upside down. Then move the entire helmet down into the build plate and rotate as needed so you are only printing the bottom bit of the helmet ~ 10 mm should be fine (see uploaded image). This will do two things for you. First, prints out a "sizing" ring to see if your head will fit through the bottom (if it fits through this ring, then your are golden. resize and print a sizing ring as many times as you need until you get your head to fit through the ring. You will need padding inside the helmet to make it fit proper and be comfortable. The second thing this does for you is give you a sense of how thin the walls of the helmet will be. Why I re-uploaded: I saw several comments mentioning how large the helmet was and out of the comments that I saw, they mentioned scaling it to 10%. Normally I would just scale this in my slicer (Cura) but when I did, the slicer no longer rendered the helmet shell in yellow and it looked like it was a ghost of itself (a side-effect of scaling to 10%). Hence why I resized and uploaded this here. I only did the full size helmet, not the individual pieces, nor do I plan to resize the individual pieces (I used Meshmixer to resize, if you are curious; it's a great program to know of and know how to use).
