Description
I live in an apartment, but I wanted to grow plants, mainly to eat. I wanted to do it simply. However open water sources, and moist seed starter pellets encourage fungus gnats, annoying pests. So I designed a 6 pot seed starter, with an included cup to hold the fungus gnat bait. You will need to measure your seed starting pellets, and add a little adjustment to allow for expansion on the pellets, apart from that you can print however you like. I printed at 0.2mm layer height, in eSun PLA+ HS, and chose different colours because I wanted to. I recommend that you keep the fungus trap a light coloured so you can see that the trap is working. You will need to print :- 6 x pots 6 x pot bases 1 x fungus gnat trap 1 x saucer base 1 x saucer top The recipe for the attractant/bait :- Apple cider vinegar 1/3 the volume of your fungus gnat trap A few drops of dish washing liquid A teaspoon of sugar Water to fill your trap Top up the water when necessary, just the water the rest of the ingredients should last until you are disgusted with the body count or until there are no more fungus gnats. Enjoy your new plants, and an insect free apartment, brought to you by joyous insect destruction.
