Description

I was looking for a set of side boxes to store the accessories for the printer and found the ones created by KalleKnall (see section Remix). I liked the simplicity of it (especially the mounting brackets) and that it did not require any assembly and additional parts. But I wanted something with a more angular design and some changes to the lid. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Modifications Box: The box is slightly larger to fit the outside dimensions of the MK3s+ when clipped in. To unclip move the box all the way towards the stepper motor. Lid: Besides of adding a little handle to the front, I wanted the lid to easily slide in place when closing the box, but without any free movement when closed. So I added some guiding structure on the bottom of the lid. And I made this structure quite thick to add some weight and stability. With 0.05mm of spacing between box and lid, printed on my Prusa MK3S+ the lid perfectly falls in place without any wobbling around. Printing Just slice it with standard profile (e.g. 0.2 layer height, 2 perimeters, 15% gyroid infill) and if you like add some ironing for the rims. There should be nothing special to this model. I printed the box in Prusament PETG in Jet Black matching my black MK3s+. And as always the surfaces turned out remarkably with the textured print sheet. Also I used ironing for the rims of the lid, the box and the little handle. Thanks goes to Prusa for providing the tools to create such professional looking things without any tweaking and on first try ;-)
