Description
What colors will you choose? Ever since I designed the dual color cow I really wanted to make a poison dart / tree frog version, but none of the available 3D models were suited for this operation. In the end I decided to try and model my own frog using sculptris. Not my usual cup of tea (I'm a mechanical engineer) but this way I could ensure enough base-surface and meaty legs in order to make the dissection possible! I had to make some alterations to the frog by connecting the front legs to the body in the bottom part and add a small bridge in the top part for printability, but once printed the parts slide together to form the final frog! 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media You might want to clean up the stringing beforehand and repeatedly slide the pieces together bit by bit to smooth down the mating surfaces if the tolerances are too tight for your printer (0,3mm). Warning : this is the most challenging print of all my Single Extruder - Dual Color designs with thin walls, steep overhangs, flexible base and tiny bed contact surface. My easiest design will be the Easter Eggs . I have found that disabling arachne and thin walls in PrusaSlicer make the print come out better since there are some very thin walls due to the way the model was cut up. I have supplied two g-codes that should work on most standard printers. Happy printing, and if you like my models you can follow me for more awesomeness! 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
