Description

UPDATE April 7 2023: 1) Re-uploaded both PDC versions as manifold stls. The ones posted before this date were not manifold (originally uploaded the wrong ones). 2) Uploaded a pre-supported Roci with PDC V2. It test printed fine at the uploaded scale (5" tip of antennae to tip of drive cone) and at 70% (3 ½"). However, 70% is on the edge of too small. Very challenging to remove supports without breaking a PDC off. I broke one off, but it glued on fine. UPDATE April 2 2023: Uploaded a V2 of both models. V2 has thicker communication antennas and enlarged PDC parts to make easier to resin print in smaller scales. I remixed Martin's Rocinante with parts from his generic frigate and my version of the Martian PDCs. I wanted to create a version closer to the earlier season Roci, without landing gear. I made the models so they are a single shell that can printed easily as a solid or hollow object on a resin printer. I successfully printed a 10.5cm (about 4") version with PDCs, but do not recommend printing the PDC version that small as removing supports was challenging. I may update later to include a version with PDCs, but friendlier to print at those small scales. I have not tested on FDM, but my assumption is the model could be cut into parts using the slicer and printed in sections. I will include a third version soon that would allow you to glue in PDCs after printing the body. Please Note: There are some small imperfections not in Martin's original models. I had to use multiple programs and tools to remove the interior and some quality was lost along the way.
