Description
I thought the original hinges for the vision enclosure were a bit bulky, so I redesigned a slimmed down version. My door also didn’t easily lift off the hinge for quick removal, so I made the hole on the left hinge (hinge A) larger so the screw/hinge pin just slides right out. these are quite small, so I printed them with a .2 nozzle You install these the same way as the original ones, with 5.7mm M3 heat set inserts and M3 screws. Note: if you use a .2 nozzle you need to double your number of walls on the print in order to match the thickness of a .4 nozzle. (Example 4 walls with .4 = 8 walls with .2 ) This matters because you need to have thick enough walls for the heat set insert to position correctly when inserting it into the part. ———— I also had an issue where my door was catching on the bottom and not closing all the way, so I made an additional version that raises the door up by 1 mm. If your door catches on the top, take everything off and flip it over, and install it that way. It will now catch on the bottom instead, then you can use these hinges and raise it a bit to fix it.
