Description

I made 2 versions of the Modular Fiddle 4 String V4. My wife a professional Violinist said the sound was quite reasonable. I was surprised no 3D printed case existed for either this Fiddle or a normal Violin so quickly hacked the Parametric Rugged Box to fit this Fiddle. This case does not fit a bow or a standard violin. In my haste I put the handle in the centre of the case, not the centre of balance so its position is not ideal. I printed in PETG and used Di Chloro Methane (Weldon3) to join the segments. The neck holder is printed in TPU and uses a pair for 6mm magnets to hold the neck in place. The top part (last 10mm or so) of the Chin rest holder should be printed in TPU (Split the part and pause the print). The base holder probably should also be printed in TPU. The optional box and lid uses 3mmx2mm round magnets. There is a full sized version of the case here:-
