Description
Loved the idea of the Infinity Cube Light by James , didn't love the idea of having to glue it all together. So I modeled a snap-together tab system keeping the original's dimensions, both inside and out. All parts snap together. No glue required! Settings and Materials Printed using 0.4 nozzle and 0.3 layer height, frame in Prusament Galaxy Black PLA, diffusers in Inland White PLA . Even in PLA, frame joints have held tightly after 9 months. Also included is snap-frame-with-large-hole to allow passage of standard 3 pin JST SM (male or female) connector, commonly used on LED light strips. Required Parts 2x snap-frame 1x snap-frame-with-hole or snap-frame-with-large-hole 3x snap-large-diffuser 6x snap-small-diffuser Assembly Add LED lighting and connect the 3 frames. Insert all the small diffusers. For each frame: Insert the end of the small diffuser closest to the frame joint first. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Rotate the small diffuser through the channel of the large diffuser and snap into place. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Add the large diffusers. For each frame: Insert the two ends of the large diffuser below the edges of the small diffusers. You may have the twist the large diffuser a bit. That's ok. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Starting closest to the ends, gently push down on the face of the large diffuser to snap into the channel. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Work your way around the large diffuser outwards from the ends and towards the middle corner, pressing down along the way to snap the diffuser into place. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media
