Description

I really liked the improvements that @firetech made to the original @Yosuke design for these squash ball feet but I didn't like that I needed hardware. I found the remix by @TChucks but there was only one height included. As described by @firetech, since the printer is heavier towards the rear, especially with the printer unmodified (i.e. with the PSU and spool holder still mounted to the printer) and with filament spools loaded, I wanted to use different feet on the rear end of the printer so I made these models. Front Foot - I used two of these in the very front of my printer. Marked with an F on the model Back Foot - I used 4 of these in the back of the printer. Two right near the x-axis steppers and two on the inside of the frame at the very back. Marked with a B on the model I also created two additional models labeled with “Better Adhesion”. I originally printed one of these out of PETG on my textured sheet and I got a bit of lifting on the ball end where there are only a few lines of filament. I added some geometry that basically acts as an internal brim of sorts to prevent any lifting. The extra material is only 0.4mm thick and is easily broken and trimmed away when the print is done.
