Description
Solar Filter for Hadley Telescope This solar filter is designed specifically for the Hadley Telescope (remix by Ivan Urbánek) It is compatible with the Hadley Telescope Tube Subassembly – Vase Mode and can be mounted either on the top of the Shroud A.stl or on the UTA with thread . Materials Film: Thousand Oaks Optical 6"x6" Solar Filter (Amazon) Template Ring: Used only for cutting the film to the correct size Base & Top Ring: 3D-printed parts to hold the film in place The solar film is glued to the base and sealed with the top ring. I used epoxy adhesive, which bonds very strongly to plastic. Printing Notes Base: Vase mode Top Ring: Standard print with solid infill Filament: PETG-CF (completely blocks light around the perimeter). Any filament works except white or transparent. Assembly Cut the solar film using the template ring. Glue the film to the base. Seal it with the top ring using epoxy (or another strong adhesive). ⚠ Safety Warning Never look at the Sun through a telescope without a solar filter! Always inspect your filter for damage, scratches, or light leaks before each use.
