Description

This is a battery harness designed to replace the original Sony BP-HP550-11 battery pack, which typically costs around 25 €. It allows replacement AAA rechargeable batteries to be charged using the original Sony MDR‑RF855RK base station or similar charging docks. You only need to provide two rechargeable AAA NiMH cells. ⚠️ WARNING: Only use rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries. Using non-rechargeable batteries may lead to overheating or fire. The capacity of the rechargeable cells may be higher than that of the original pack. Q&A Q: Why not reuse the original harness? A: The positive terminals on the original Sony cells are longer than standard AAA terminals, so regular batteries may not make proper contact. Q: Why is the harness necessary at all? A: The harness presses a small lever inside the battery compartment, allowing the device to recognize the battery pack and enable charging through the docking station. Without it, the device disables charging. Q: Why can’t I use non-rechargeable batteries with this harness? A: The charging base would treat them as rechargeable, attempt to charge them, and cause dangerous heat buildup. Always use NiMH rechargeables only. Print Settings Layer height: 0.4 mm (adequate quality). Printed without supports or rafts. Printing time: approximately 15 minutes.
