Description
So another rather minimal soap / sponge holder… I needed one with a specific and rather larger size of the underneath drawer to hold a soap savior (a special request from my family). Bottom drawer size: H 10 x W 85 x L 130 mm Two version: with or without drainage. (same cover) The cover is just a simple square with rounded edges and a thickness of 3 mm. Make your own pattern in the Prusaslicer. If you don't know how: in print settings > layers and perimeters > horizontal shells > solid layers: put both on 0 (zero) to remove the top and bottom solid layers. in print settings > layers and perimeters > vertical shells: I upped this to 5 to give it a nice and solid border. Make it as thick as you find esthetically pleasing. in print settings > infill > fill pattern: pick any you like that allows water & soap to still go to the bottom ;) in the plater screen you can change the infill, which changes the pattern even more! Have fun! The walls are 3mm thick, so you can scale as you see fit. Some feedback I got from your comments, thanks everyone for these: be mindful of the water temperature in your sponge. Using the sponge holder for hot water items? Print in a temperature-resistant filament like PETG. you can change the direction of the infill pattern by rotating the model inside the slicer, and nicely align everything :) some people report back that there's no slope, so the water stays inside. That's true: with the soap saviour system, a slope would be counterproductive so I didn't think about it.... if I redo this model, I'll add a slope version. the pictures. All prints are in rPLA. On one of the pictures, you can see a white soap saver pad that goes in the drawer underneath (store-bought; this is not a print). There's also a mirrored version.
