Description
This is an alternative design to the bottom piece for the covid19 face shield. It's designed so a standard office hole punch creates holes which line up with the grips in the print. Holds firm on 100 micron acetate (OHP) sheets. This now contains two STLs. US for 70mm distance between holes and ISO838 for 80mm between holes. Any other measurement can be easily created by opening the scad file distance_between_holes value on line 8. Print instructions The walls of this print are only 1mm apart from each other so make sure retraction is on and enable "Avoid crossing perimeters" or the equivalent in your preferred slicer software. Slic3r tends to weld one end together through stringing. This weld is more cleanly broken by sticking a utility knife in the gap and cutting outwards than cutting downwards. Attach to acetate by sliding from end not top.
