Description
StarTech brand server racks have a pattern of holes on the sides for cable management arms. I designed a mount that can use these holes for a container if you aren't using it for cable management. Just align the mount with the top hole, slide down, and push; the stabilization clips hold it vertical. Can be removed by pulling from the bottom. In my own testing, this is a secure enough fit without being too tight. This is sized to fit a WD elements portable hard drive. There are two variations of this design: A single material print An outer shell and an inner padding layer The idea here is to absorb vibrations that a portable hard drive may make. If this isn't a concern, print the first version I've always printed the mount with PETG and it's worked pretty well. No supports or brims needed; support is included in the 3MF files where necessary. Since the support is a separate object in the model file, take care to move the part and the support together in your slicer. Consult documentation for your slicer to see how to do this.
