Description
NOTE: Uploaded corrected file, my slicer was generating a strange version of the file. I had a couple people that I gave/showed these beautiful roses say “It would be nice if there was a pen in the stem”. After thinking about it, I figured this would be a good learning project for a CAD rookie like me and would be useful. I used a standard pen cartridge, like the ones used in most give-away pens. Easy to find. I've included a picture of a pen, cartridge, and a small file that I used to do a little clean up on the stem. Sometimes when the stem is printed a little excess filament will drop into the center hole and the file makes it easy to clear. Also, I use the file to clean up the pen tip end of the stem. You can smooth the edges and the inside of the hole to make the pen slide in and out easily when you need to replace the cartridge. Just don't enlarge the hole too much. You don't want the cartridge slipping out and the hole size is petty close to where it should be. No support needed.
