Description
The original model by FunkyArt has the screws printed vertically which puts the layer lines parallel with the stressing forces of tightening them down, this increases the chance of the print failing or breaking along the layer lines. The Screws remixed by CrsMthw solve this issue by giving them a small flat face and printing them on their sides. This positioning puts the stressing forces perpendicular to the layer lines of the print significantly reducing the likelihood of the screws breaking. However FunkyArt originally gave us two versions of the long screw, one with very little tolerance for the counter screws and another one with al little more. CrsMthw's remix uses the ones with very little tolerance and so when I printed them I could not get them to screw into the counter screws more than a few turns before the friction became too great. So I have gone back and taken the “CZFA_FlexFrame_Longscrew_less_tight” screw from the original and sliced it similarly to the screws by CrsMthw which now gives me a screw I can put all the way on the counter sink and tighten as much as I want but has the layer lines perpendicular to the stress and is therefore also stronger than the original design.
