Description
This is a customized part you can use to support existing wire-based hangers so they will NEVER fall out. The print makes two pieces of the part shown in IMG_9208. The layout makes the print more stable. I printed with the hooks up with supports. No brim is needed. Supports are easy to remove. IMG_9209 shows a standard cheap black plastic hook and one of the new hooks. The cheap black plastic hooks lose their springiness over time and tend to fall out exactly when you pull the tool off the pegboard, causing the hook to fall out as well. The printed part doesn't rely on spring to hold them in place, just engagement with the holes. They are a bit tough to pull out but will come out if you need them to. The new part is sized to fit between two American pegboard boles at 2" apart, approximately 1/4" holes, and pegboard that is approximately 1/4" thick. The part is designed such that you can slide two of the "legs" inside the same hole to put these side by side on your pegboard (no need to skip holes between the parts)
