Description

This is a simple, lightweight tabletop greenhouse frame designed to be assembled using widely available wooden cooking skewers. The parts are designed for quick assembly with no glue required. Features Uses common 4mm diameter wooden cooking skewers Skewers press-fit directly into the corner pieces Each skewer socket is designed for 28mm insertion depth to provide a snug and stable fit Lightweight frame that can be easily disassembled and stored Assembly I designed this to sit on a standard cafeteria-style lunch tray, which acts as the base for the greenhouse. Measure the tray you plan to use and cut the wooden skewers to length for the frame. When determining the skewer lengths, remember that each end inserts 28mm into the corner pieces, so account for 56mm total insertion depth when calculating your cuts. Insert the skewers into the printed corner pieces until they reach the full 28mm depth for a secure press fit. Continue connecting the corners until the frame is complete. Covering the Greenhouse Once assembled, wrap the sides with plastic wrap (Saran Wrap or similar) to create the greenhouse enclosure. ⚠️ Important: Leave a few small openings to allow for air exchange and ventilation to prevent overheating and excess humidity buildup. Notes Slight variation in skewer diameter may affect fit depending on the brand. If the fit is too tight, lightly sanding the skewer ends can help. Printed at standard tolerances for 4mm rods.
