Description
A 2-piece 3D printable keychain utility knife. Tool free assembly Maintenance free 50% of blade edge is exposed (not just the tip) Snap or locking types available CAD files available (.step) for remixing purposes Locking Style Features a safety tab that must be moved before the blade can be deployed. Simply retract the blade when finished to lock it into the body. Use the TALON_BODY_LOCKING and TALON_SLIDE models. Snap Style Uses snap mechanisms for both open and closed positions. This version is easier to use, however it is less safe because the safety tab has been removed. Use the TALON_BODY_SNAP and TALON_SLIDE models. Compatible Blades: Stanley 1992 Blades Irwin Bimetal Blades V2 Update Razor blades vary in size even within the same batch/package, so we've done our best to resize the blade tray to accomodate a larger variety. Even so, not all blades will fit so we recommend sticking to the ones listed above. Several users complained that the blades could sometimes stick out of the front of the housing. While this is usually a print accuracy or incompatible blade problem, we went ahead and elongated the body to better shroud the tip. We now offer DESIGN PACKS for those of you who want to remix the Talon with ease. This is a downloadable CAD pack that contains easy to modify .STEP files . TALONS ARE AVAILABLE IN METAL! 3D prints are cool, but they're no match for our Aluminum or Titanium Talons. Check them out! PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENT Blade may deploy unintentionally. To avoid injury, do not store in pockets, bags, or dark areas. Use of unapproved blades may result in injury. Only use the recommended blades above. User assumes all risk.
