Description

I wanted to replace the cardboard stand that came with the box with something a little different, and maybe a little more stable. I like the art of the box and the red hand holding the cube seemed like a logical idea. The first model had a flat base, and the handheld the lazy susan. That sort of worked, but I ran into some issues with the board slipping around, and I wasn't crazy about how it looked. For v2 (the file here) I added a recess to the base to sit the hand on top of the lazy susan, hiding it from view, but still allowing it to rotate freely. To support the board, I enlarged the notches in the fingers and added the tray (I printed it in silver give it a metallic look). The board fits pretty perfectly, and the lip is shorter than the board thickness to make it easy to swap boards. As is, it fits in the box if you remove the insert. UPDATE 12/2023 - the disc file has been modified slightly to be 1mm wider to thicken the rim. This made it fit a bit more tightly in the hand, and addressed the rim cracking one some prints. UPDATE 01/2024 - Added Dice Sleeve to replace the cardboard sleeve used during setup.
