Description
Description: This is a simple but useful calibration tool designed to find the perfect fit for your magnets in horizontal position. The model includes three different slots to test which clearance works best for your setup (see dimensions summary in the picture): Exact size (+0.0mm): The nominal size of the magnet. Standard fit (+0.2mm): Adds 0.2mm to both diameter and thickness. Loose Fit (+0.4mm): Adds 0.4mm to both original diameter and original thickness. Magnets: Size: 10 mm diameter and 2 mm thickness How to use it: Print the test Try to insert your magnets into the three slots. Choose the measurement that provides the desired friction. Apply that offset to your future 3D printing designs. Suitable to print with or without AMS. My experience with my printer: Exact size (+0.0mm): best choice when the magnets are visible on the surface of the piece. Using the exact dimensions along with a small drop of glue ensures a perfect fit and guarantees that the magnet stays securely in place over time. Standard fit (+0.2mm): best choice when using hidden magnets. Ensures magnet fits in place easily (during a printing pause) and prevents the extruder colliding with the magnet when the printing resumes.
