You can use the existing caps that are part of the original. PVC pipe specs: 135mm long 3/4 schedule 40 They should press into the pipe. I recommend securing these adapters to the PVC pipe with superglue. I have added an optional bushing “Fun Size - Spooler - Rod 3-4in bushing” that can fill the gap between the PVC pipe and the “Main Gear” and “Front Core Cover”
