Description
Behold, ladies and gentlemen, a fishing lure!! Inspire and based on the Mini Bottle Plug, published on thefisherman.com in March 2021 by Dave Anderson, The Underbiter features 2 different versions based on the thickness of the wire used. The designs work best when printed in ABS at 100% infill. I have included a document showing the shapes the wire need to be bent into. Both designs take a set of 2 or 3 steel balls, with diameters no more than 10mm and no less than 9.5mm. Since the lures are designed to let the weights shift (thus helping with casting), gluing the 2 halves together is a bit of a challenge, so take care that the balls don't get stuck. If you want, go ahead and paint and clear coat the lures, then attach hooks. I used #1 Gamakatsu 23-RB 2XS treble hooks, but feel free to use whichever kind of hooks give you the balance you need. If you make one and manage to catch something, please consider posting a make.
