Description
Baseplates for Gridfinity, with that satisfying magnetic snap, significantly thinner and cheaper than traditional magnet bases. Based on the proven Gridfinity Extended “Efficient Magnetic Base”, with a number of improvements: Uses 5x1mm magnets instead of the 6x2mm gridfinity standard. These are cheaper, make the base slimmer and are plenty strong. Placed to fit perfectly for bins with 6x2 magnets Friction fit for magnets, no glue needed Extraction holes for magnets, use tweezers to retrieve them when you decommission old base plates Magnets covered by thin roof to prevent bins from pulling out magnets Perimeter cutouts: bins are held on at the corners and guided by sloped surfaces Square corners to fit your drawers and make tiling easy 40-45% less filament used at same settings These baseplates hold your bins 1mm lower than Gridfinity Extended Efficient Magnetic Bases, and about 1.4mm higher than slim nonmagnetic base plates. If the fit of the magnets is off either print a calibration cube and adjust your filament settings accordingly, or adjust the X-Y hole compensation in your slicer. For nozzles bigger than 0.4mm use Arachne walls. Depending on how your slicer handles the overhangs you may also need to add a modifier to print the layers from 0.6 to 1.4 in 0.2mm layer height. For a version for traditional 6x2mm magnets that's height-compatible with Gridfinity Extended magnetic bases check out Gridfinity Magnet Base Improved .
