Description
We have created a new base for the stem, with nice leaves. The stem is simply printed upright and can be printed perfectly, even the small one (like shown on the photo). Printing should be done slowly (about 45 mm/sec. *) and, if available with input-shaper. A screenshot photo of the print settings on my PRUSA MK4 is included. The following postprint contains a very simple trick: Heat the leaves with a normal hair dryer (or a heat gun) and then carefully bend and shape them upwards. Repeat the process several times if necessary. Now you can put up the rose. We recommend to glue it on. The downloadable file ist for the 5 cm Rose. We scaled it down to 80 % for a 4 cm Rose and 66 % for a 3,5 cm Rose, like on the photo (Rose was scaled 60 % - 60 % - 70 % (height)). Update: I no added different sizes of the stem - suitable for 5 cm, 4 cm and 3 cm roses and added a picture of them. You can find the three matching roses in this remix link: https://www.printables.com/de/model/788963-roses-in-diffent-sizes-for-new-thorny-stem-with-ni The rose on the title page is printed with REDLINE mystic sillky PLA pink-yellow. The other ones with filament from several brands, PETG works also well. Notes: The stem for the 3cm rose is designed a little bit thicker, so it can be printed * - slowly (!) Last update: Now the rose is perfect. Additionally we have created a new design with beautiful, creatively deformable leaves, you can find it here: https://www.printables.com/de/model/799801-natural-creatively-deformable-leaves-matching-rose * Users who do not use a 3D printer from Prusa, sometimes seem to have problems with the printing quality. Unfortunately, I cannot give any advice on this. On my PRUSA MK4, using Cura Slicer, with the help of the input shaper, I have no problems with printing. All prints are very good, even the very thin stem (on the last photo added you can see the small stem). The PRUSA engineers have done a great job here, the investment in the printer was definitely worth it for me :-). From my experience with my previous printers (Anycubic Vyper) I can report that by changing different parameters, good printing results are also possible. It's all about trying things out and gaining experience, that is my advice to all (Non PRUSA-) users having printing problems. Good luck and happy printing ;-). Because the real honor belongs to the creator of the thorny stem https://www.printables.com/de/model/136424-better-rose-stem it would be fine, if you leave a like and/or comment there 😍, thanks.
