Description

There's something to be said for the excitement of topwater fishing....this my version of a 3D printed topwater minnow lure. Assembles just like my Crankbait Fishing Lure . I tested these out and they swim pretty well and have lots of wobble action. When twitched on the retrieve they have a pretty good wounded minnow look to them. The lure was designed to use BB's for weight to achieve the desired flotation. See images below for examples. * I used #10 Treble Hooks and #2 Split Rings on these. * 9-28-18 = Per request added a lip less version and template for making clear lip versions. I have not tested this so I don't know if there is enough surface area to glue the lip on. If you try it and it doesn't work let me know. Keep in mind these printed lures will probably need to be tuned before they will swim correctly. (google how to tune a crankbait.) If you print one and actually catch something on them post a "Make" I would love to see your catch. If you have any questions or problems with the files or fitment of the parts just let me know and I will try to fix them. Enjoy.... and post some makes if you use these it lets me know I'm not wasting my time uploading my designs and if you like what you see check out more of my lures at https://www.theneverendingprojectslist.com/ Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .10 Infill: 50% Notes: There are some thin areas of this lure so like all my lures I printed this with a .25 nozzle. BB Weight Placement Options Using just 2 BB's in the front two holes produces a nice level floation postion much like a store bought floating minnow. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media The green painted bass lure has 5 BB's installed in produces a countdown lure action when not being retrieved and it will sink until the rear hook touches the bottom and then floats at a up angle. The blue one has 4 BB's and will raise very slowly back to the surface when the retrieve is stopped and floats at a 45° angle. I'm sure the sunfish will love pecking at this one.
