Description

work in progress - update 03/03/26: added vortex elbow pieces, top and bottom pieces required, as usual uses m2 bolts, to swivel may need some tightening depending on machine tolerances. blast-off upper arm filler, simply tabs on and away you go. in addition, managed to swap the orientation of the thigh covers (rotate by 90 degrees so pistons are on the outside) requires some specific order of operations, but is doable with no modifications, it fills in the waist sightly better, but at the cost of the waist skirt not tabbing in, and articulation being compromised, so a bit of hit and miss. still to do, upgraded cannons, and potentially some rear stabilisers for vortex, I appreciate this kit id really bland blocky and simple looking, however my laptop will indeed crash if I do too much detail work, so unfortunately there is not much I can do to help in that regards, but I would love to see someone more artistically and computer performance inclined, do the greeble work this needs to really make the full difference. update 02/03/26: added waist skirt, onslaught thigh covers, blast-off forearm adapter, and blast-off hand. waist skirt is a tad tight to tab onto the original skirt, may require very very minor trimming for a good fit. forearm adapter takes the arms from blast-off robot mode, disconnects them from the ball joins, and tabs in using the 5mm tabs in the hands. the hand for blast-off is in two halves, L and R, fold out the original blast-off fist bot fold the thumb pieces back into the legs, then tab the new fist pieces in using the 5mm pegs, the alignment tabs are a tad tight, minor sanding for a flush fit may be required. thigh covers require mirroring, and printing twice, best fitment method is to remove onslaughts legs from the mushroom pegs, and disconnect swindle or brawn, slide the box section of the thigh covers all the way down the connector port of swindle/brawn, then push in the onslaught connector to tighten the join, this may be quite stiff if the thigh cover is not pushed as far down the connector joint as possible, but should ease up with use. Update 28/02/26 - 01/03/26: print 2 of "swindle ankle pivot and ankle hinge" these are the same for brawl and swindle. The onslaught arm risers need to be reflected to have one for each side. For feet construction uses m2 bolts, nuts, and washes, as long as they are sturdy when put together, order of assembly doesn't really matter. Brawl foot test (toy adapter part), is a decent fit, however a dab of superglue makes it really quite the solid fit. chest plate is currently untested, therefore trial at your own risk. (now tested, works well, connection to shoulder risers may be loose when tested off the figure, but once tested on the figure, it becomes rather sturdy (weirdly similar to handling any CW/UW figures). still to come are upgraded onslaught cannons, elbow segments for vortex, Blast-off torso filler, but this is what is expected for now.
