Description
This adapter lets you mount a Trivec-Avant 2055-3 SATCOM antenna on a Discovery Drive azimuth/elevation rotor. You can aim the antenna the same way you would a dish or ham antenna to maximize signal. The larger flat section bolts to the Discovery Drive base , and the narrow section goes up to the tripod mount on the Trivec. I used a 1/4" bolt to connect to the tripod mount (see photos). I also used three zipties to further secure the antenna to the adapter. The neck has several holes for the zipties to attach. When mounted, the antenna will fully clear the rotor in all positions that I tested. I printed this on a Prusa Core One L with PC Blend, using the 0.2mm Structural setting. It will also work with PLA but might be less weather-resistant.
