Description
🐢 3D Printed Turtle Coaster A fun 3D printed coaster with a simple moving feature. Place a mug or glass on the shell and the turtle’s head, legs and tail lift up together. Remove the mug and it returns back down again. No electronics or complicated parts — just a bit of built-in mechanical movement. 🔧 Details Multi-part 3D printed design Head, tail and all four legs move together Works using the weight of the parts (spring optional, usually not required) Central space allows a small spring to be added if using lighter materials Twist-lock style shell keeps everything together when lifted Parts can be removed if needed ⚠️ Assembly note: Place the shell on first, then insert the limbs, head and tail. 🎨 Custom Options Optional shell pattern insert Two head versions (integrated eyes or separate glue-on eyes) Choice of colours ☕ Use Ideal for desks, coffee tables, or just something a bit different. Suitable for standard mugs and cups. 🖨️ Printer Settings (Important) Best printed in PETG for strength, weight and heat resistance Shell and base: 5–20% infill Limbs, head and tail: 100% infill (important for correct movement) Shell: print upside down, no supports or brim required 0.4 mm nozzle / 4–5 walls / 0.20 mm layer height Optional pattern piece presses into the top shell channel Small spring (approx. 10–12 mm) can be added in the centre if desired ⚠️ Safety This is a novelty coaster. Please take care when placing hot drinks on it.
