Description

This battle dice storage box for Twilight Imperium 4 was inspired by u/MacBryce's Battle Dice post on Reddit . The idea is to have a separate set of dice with the numbers highlighted to show when you hit for each combat roll you may need to make. At the start of combat, figure out what your ships hit on and grab the corresponding dice. Then you can roll for all hits at once. This is a combination of the following components: d10 dice ordered from ChuFun Life Store on Aliexpress in red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, black, and white Asani Acrylic Paint Pens used to color in the numbers on the dice this Modern Gridfinity Case (with the snap-in window & 100 degree hinge remixes and a printed window) Gridfinity Extended 1x2x6 bins Cullenect v2 Gridfinity Bin Labels A translucent window printed in Polymaker clear PETG largely using the How to Print Glass settings in a single 0.5mm layer with a 1.0mm nozzle 6x2mm magnets The case label was generated with gflabel Instructions: Decide on what color scheme you want and order at least 9 sets of d10 dice - one for each possible on hit value (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) Color in the values that don't hit on each die using the acrylic paint pens so the on hit values are all white. Print the parts for the case and follow the instructions here to assemble it. Remember that the window will be inserted after everything is printed using the snap-in window remix, and choose either the regular or the 100 degree hinges. Print the labels with a color change for the number. Print 10 Gridfinity bins (one for each set of dice, plus one extra bin). The bins will hold up to two sets of each color. Add magnets to the bins and case (optional) NOTE: Tolerances on your printer may vary from mine. The latches on mine are pretty tight. If my files don't work for you, you'll need to create your own model with whatever gridfinity case, bins, & remixes you want. If you like this model and would like to give back, please consider buying me a coffee .
