Description

All ice scrapers obviously go dull after enough use, unless you use materials that will damage the glass, at which point you will know that your obsession with blade longevity is not quite healthy. Or cheap. This remix of Genghis' very nice ice scraper makes the blade detachable, so you only have to reprint the blade when it gets dull, instead of the whole thing including the handle. Hardware M3x6 bolts (x2) - I used the low profile ones from CNC Kitchen 9mm M3 washers (x2) - probably overkill, but oh well M3x5x4 heat-set inserts (x2) Printing 0.2mm layer height 5 perimeters, 5 top and 5 bottom layers 20% gyroid infill Snug 0.2mm (detachable) support, though only on the handle overhang The original prints without supports, this remix does not, sorry. The countersunk holes on the blade don't need supports, but the overhang on the handle does. That is the single-print part, though, so that shouldn't matter. I printed my copy in Prusament PC blend. I haven't tested how the clearance will fit with the shrinkage of other materials, but the clearance is easy to tweak using the "lip_clr" parameter in the scad. I'm using OpenSCAD version 2025.08.14.fp as of time of writing. To use the scad file, download Genghis' original stl, call it ice-scraper.stl and place it in the same folder as my scad file. Cheers :)
