Description
When printing both the 54mm and the 58mm Umikot Spirograph WDT's shared by @redfoxdude , I noticed that the 54mm version inserted the needles from the top which required A little more difficulty with inserting the needles installing the spin ring with the needles poking out the other end difficulty replacing the needles if required (not that I've needed to) Inserting the needles into the 58mm Umikot was a more elegant solution by Inserting them after the rest of the assembly Keeping them in position was a matter of using the tension from the bent handle Removing the requirement to thread the thin needle point through a small hole. Based off the measurements of the design differences, in order to keep the same length of needle protruding I suggest reducing the length by 1.2mm 55mm down to 53.8mm 65mm down to 63.8mm To make it easier cut the needles to size I suggest using the little plastic tube that comes with the acupuncture needles. Cut the tube down to the appropriate size and then insert the needles into the tube and trim off the protruding sections. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media When inserting the handle into the holes make sure to give the handles a little bend so that the spring tension will hold them in place once inserted. 📷 Image redacted — claim this model to add your own media Included additional container to fit the Umikot 54mm Spirograph WDT for storage/gifting purposes etc. Container should be large enough to just fit the WDT with the small handle. AI Analysis: This is a mechanical part designed for precision assembly, featuring a cylindrical body with internal gear structures and inserted needles. It is intended for use in a mechanical assembly or as a component in a larger mechanical system. The part has a ribbed surface for improved grip and stability during assembly.
