Description
I originally designed this part for a friend who wanted a simple and reliable way to collect sawdust from his Makita 2704 table saw. Instead of using a full dust‑collection system, he wanted the sawdust to drop straight into a bucket. This chute solves exactly that. It features a 63 mm outlet and a built‑in top notch that lets you hang the bucket handle securely. This keeps the bucket perfectly aligned with the saw, prevents clogging, and makes cleanup much easier. Although designed around the Makita 2704, it will fit any machine or setup using a 63 mm dust port. Printing recommendation: I strongly recommend printing this in PLA. The internal geometry makes PETG tricky to print cleanly (stringing and sagging inside the chute), while PLA gives a smoother interior and a more reliable fit. Files included: .STL .step (for remixing, modifying, or adapting to other machines) Feel free to remix, modify, and improve the design however you like. If you publish a remix or use it in a project, it would be great if you could credit the original design. Features: 63 mm dust‑port compatibility Integrated bucket‑handle notch Smooth internal geometry for better sawdust flow Sturdy walls suitable for FDM printing Works with buckets of various sizes Easy to print and easy to modify Suggested print settings: Material: PLA (recommended) Layer height: 0.2 mm Walls: 3–4 perimeters Infill: 20–30% Supports: Only inside the chute opening (depending on orientation) Made for a friend – shared so others can keep their workshop cleaner too.
