Description
This is a Volcano with base for the Vinegar and Baking soda and dish soap experiment, I have included holes for TPU printable feet and Plug for the bottom (10-15% infill, recommend raft for TPU feet) . For the volcano, I printed it on the Bambu Lab X1 with AMS unit 15% infill in chocolate and Bone white PLA, If so equipped, you could use blue for sea effect. (I would use paintable supports for foot-holes in model only, supports not needed for Volcano model) I have remixed a funnel model from Boogie to be right size to add vinegar/dish soap/food dye to your Baking Soda (PLA with 20% infill for funnel). Ingredients — 2 Tablespoons baking soda — Half a cup of Vinegar — Few drops of dishwashing liquid — Few drops of food coloring Directions for experiment Have all the parts printed and ready. (with feet already assembled onto base) Do the experiment over a sink or an easy to clean area is recommended. Turn the volcano over while plugging the top hole with finger over a trash bin, have an assistant add the baking soda and plug the bottom with the bottom plug. Turn the volcano over and put into position easily cleaned. Mix vinegar, dish soap and food dye in small container. position funnel over top hole. Quickly pour Vinegar mixture into Volcano. Back away and enjoy the show. When eruption is completed, remove plug in sink and wash out with water to reset.
