Description
Keeping your plant in a pot that has now aeration or a way for excess water to evaporate will eventually cause your plants to die of root rot (the roots of your plant keep sitting in old water for weeks and get modly, limiting their ability to transport nutriens). The Ikea steel flowerpot is such a pot. Planting your flowers/plants directly in such a pot will kill them quickly. To prevent that you have 2 options: You use the Ikea steel pot as a sleeve for another, better pot or you install the Water Catcher/Vent provided here The Water Catcher creates a cavity beneath your soil, where excess Water can accumalate. This then can evapourate through the discrete vent
