Description

📦 Description This wind station is a modular 3D‑printable project designed to display both wind direction and wind speed . The design consists of 7 main parts , all optimized for FDM printing and fully assemblable without supports. Note: Despite the built‑in tolerances, depending on your printer, filament, and print quality, the rotating parts may move more or less smoothly. 🧩 Components BaseA – lower support BaseB – upper base for the column Colonna (Column) – central element that houses the rotor and arrow Arrow – directional arrow mounted on the upper shaft AsseRotante (Rotating Shaft) – vertical pin that allows the arrow to rotate Tripale (Three‑Blade Rotor) – rotor that spins around the column Anello (Ring) – rotating support for the Tripale ⚙️ How It Works The directional arrow rotates freely thanks to a vertical shaft with wide tolerances, ensuring smooth movement even on less‑precise printers. The three‑blade rotor is mounted on a ring that wraps around the central column. This ring rotates around the column and is held in place by an integrated shoulder and a retaining ring that prevent vertical movement. 🖨️ Recommended Print Settings Material: Marble‑effect PLA for the column; PLA or PETG for mechanical parts Layer height: 0.16–0.20 mm Infill: 15–20% Supports: Required for Arrow, Base, and Tripale Tolerances: Already integrated into the model for smooth rotation 🛠️ Assembly Print all 7 STL parts Insert the Rotating Shaft into the top seat of the Column Screw the Arrow onto the shaft Attach the Tripale to the Ring Position the Ring around the column in its dedicated slot Attach the Column to BaseB Connect BaseA and BaseB to complete the structure 🎥 Exploded Assembly Video The video clearly shows the assembly sequence and how each component rotates. You can attach it directly to the Thingiverse page to help users during assembly. 📁 Included Files BaseA.stl BaseB.stl Colonna.stl Arrow.stl AsseRotante.stl Tripale.stl Anello.stl 🔧 Customization Modify the blade shape Adapt the base for vertical mounting Add magnetic sensors for wind‑speed measurement 📌 Notes Designed by Vinors 3D Lab – 08/03/2026 Full technical drawing included in the attached PDF.
