Description
I decided to create a modified version of the original model to optimize costs without compromising functionality. I used PLA instead of PETG, and the results are excellent. Improvements: I modified the geometry to compensate for PLA’s greater brittleness. The result is a stopper that is sturdier and does not bend under pressure. The design allows for convenient storage of the stopper right in the window frame; you just need to adjust its height to fit the specific window model. Durability: During testing, the model withstood significant wind loads without showing any signs of deformation. Cost: Significantly cheaper to produce compared to the PETG version. Material: PLA Advantages: Extremely strong and stable. The design distributes the load more effectively, making the use of PLA fully justified. Cost-effectiveness: Lower cost with the same, if not better, strength. Tip: Print with at least 2-3 walls for maximum rigidity.
