Update: The extension motor mount was missing form the original release, it has now been added. Also it looks like there is some variation in MG90 servos. Servos other than the ones listed below from amazon may not fit. I have uploaded a main boom that has looser tolerances for where the ears are on the servo. I have not printed or tested this with other servos as i only have the one type, but if you run into this problem you can try this out. I will keep working on a revision of the main boom to more universally fit other servos. Also there was a fillet in the wrong spot that interfered with the servo, this has now been corrected. if you printed the old version you can use a hobby knife square that opening. Ever had your Professor Boots RC excavator tip over? or your Semi break down and need a tow? Here is a wrecker body with a working underlift, telescoping boom and winch for when things go wrong. The boom extension uses a 100mm 1000rpm N20 threaded motor, the same one used for the awesome rollback truck that bishopdq made. Amazon sells a 2 pack so you can get one for each truck https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DBG3NP3Y?th=1 The boom lift uses a 55mm 1000rpm N20 threaded motor the same as the professor boots mini excavator For the winch i went with a 200rpm N20 i had and it seems to be a pretty good speed, feel free to try out different motors. You can use whatever you want for winch line but i used 1.5mm paracord from a hardware store near me The winch uses the same bearings as the semi axles. The underlift folds and unfold using the same servos that ProfBoots uses for the hitch servo on his semi https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L6FZVT1/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A2QTZX14X1D97I&th=1 . The underlift is primarily designed to be used with another profBoots semi, the groove locks onto the front axles and the lip allows it to self center on the front bumper. included are two holes to accommodate adapters for whatever you want to tow with the wrecker, i have some made up to fit an SCX24 crawler The geometry of the boom and underlift are such that when unfolded, none of the weight is on the servo. the only reason i used a servo instead of another threaded motor is that the PCB only supports 3 auxiliary motors. you may need to use a file or sandpaper to adjust the angle of the underlift. You till also need to use a file or sandpaper to hand fit the underlift to the underlift crossbar I'm not great with using the arduino IDE so i used the code from bishopdq's rollback truck. He remapped the controller so Forward/Back/Left/Right is all on the Left Joystick. The winch is Up/Down on the Right Joystick (AUX 02), Boom extension is L2/R2 (AUX 01), Boom lift is L1/R1 (AUX 03) The underlift folds and unfolds using UP/DOWN on the Dpad Ill be adding my own code for the esp32 that will better adjust position of the underlift There are no modified parts from the original ProfBoots Semi used, it just doesn't use the hitch and hitch servo from the original and everything can be mounted up to existing holes. Everything can be assembled assembled almost exclusively using M2.6x8x6 truss head screws, same as all of the other ProfBoots projects. 5mm long screws are needed to mount the boom extension motor and 12mm long screws are a nice to have to mount the boom to the deck but the normal 8mm screws work just fine as well. the underlift crossbar uses a 8mm screw to attach to the underlift but the point sticks out of the bottom and it would be advisable to file that flush with the bottom so it doesn't get stuck on carpet or scratch floors Also included are parts for a snatchblock and mounting points on the underlift and boom to use it. Those mounts require the 12mm screws mentioned earlier The light bar mounts to the top of the toolboxes and is made to fix these strobes from amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JQXZXHL?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I would call this a version .9 rather than 1.0 but if i keep tinkering and trying to make it perfect ill never end posting it. There is still some polishing to do and bugs to work out but all of the features work, ill update this page as I make improvements. Current bugs: With a ProfBoots Semi on the underlift, there isn't a ton of weight on the front wheels of the wrecker making steering somewhat vague, i recommend adding counterweights or using the 18650 batteries for the wrecker The boom end swivel needs some refinement, the winch line will sometimes jump off the pulley
