First, huge shout out to who made the first version. This is based on the: Xbox Controller Stand for IKEA SKÅDIS PegboardXbox Controller Stand for IKEA SKÅDIS Pegboard However, I had a few things I didn't like about the existing model that this addresses: The abnormal polygon count. The original model was over 3,600,000 polygons (150MB) of an STL file. This is a massive file to work with for some 3D printers. I reduced this down to approximately 1,600 polygons (150KB) which is huge for optimization (especially on older marlin printers). I removed the brand on the back of the stand, I have no issue with it being there, but it will print faster without one. Reduction of plastic. The original model was a very thick piece of plastic, and the back section isn't needed at all. In fact, it's easier to connect these hooks to the plastic without the back on it. This speeds up the printing by approximately 40%, and reduces the materials needed by 30%. As well as simplifying the model for future people making edits. The original was cool, this is just a refinement. I am still not fully happy with this version (as the original had some texturing and other things that are still suggestively present), so I may discard this and take it back down to the drawing board later. I suspect this could be reduced another 50% in time and plastics with a cleaner topology, and simplifying the design while keeping the nice bottom shape. Future task if people start using it I suppose.
