Description

The old plastic trim sender CAM on my motor had broken and I'm too cheap to buy the fancy new metal one. You'll need to re-use the screw off of the original one. Use it to cut the threads in this unit. When installing the CAM, you need to 'calibrate' it on the shaft by rotating it such that the rheostat in the trim sender is just about at the bottom of its range when the engine is completely lowered. It can be finicky as the spring in the rheostat will want to be moving cam. Also note that out of the factory, the trim sender signal is wired in the engine to output to a dedicated trim gauge. If you want the trim reading to be read over the NMEA network you need to change a plug or two under the cowling to direct it to the ECU. FreeCAD file is attached if you want to tweak anything
