Description
The is a slip on rugged case for the Yamaha SEQTRAK. The little groove box has a very long shape so you cannot use a normal folding case design. It's so light and seemingly fragile that I felt it needed something rugged to protect it. It slides on from both sides and seals in the middle. Pay attention when sliding it in. On the left side you need to help the tag by folding it up. You cannot slip it into the wrong side as the knobs will hit the support beams. Left side has 2 large beams inside. Right side has 3 large beams inside. This is part of why I suggest using two colors as I did so you cannot make a mistake. I named the files after the colors I used, but obviously you can do what you want. This is Polymaker Polylite Orange PLA PRO and eSun PLA PRO Gray. Neither match the colors, but close enough for me. You might notice a little evidence of sanding inside. You shouldn't need that in the final model. My prints were before the final adjustments, it fits but it's just a little tight so i sanded to make it a little smoother to avoid the long reprints. You shouldn't need any supports when printing. I suggest using 3 walls and 20% infill of any reasonable pattern. Just 2 walls is a little faster and less plastic, but the strength is likely reduced and the printer is doing some wild motions to print 2 wall thickness of support. PLA is probably easiest and plenty strong. If you want you can use something even stronger than PLA or more UV resistant like ABS or PETG. You'll need: 8 - 35mm M3 Screws 8 - M3 Lock nuts. You can also get away with 4 - 35mm M3 Screws 4 - 40mm M3 Screws 8 - M3 Lock nuts. If you look in the photos I had one 40mm screw since I ran out of 35s. You cannot use all 40mm, and must position the 40mm so they do not meet each other in the middle. The seal is not really required. I've used it with and without. Adding the seal gives the extra moisture\dust protection it's supposed to offer, but I believe it also makes the clasp seal a little stronger so it is worth printing. ----------------------------------------- If you want a more traditional case, I've now uploaded a normal folding rugged box case .
