Description
Zero play guide bars for jigs on table saw. I primarily made this for a new cross cut sled but they are applicable to anything. Would recommend using PETG as it is very low friction and won't warp much at all. My process for assembly to wood base with countersunk screws is the following: Place painter's tape in one side of T-track. Put in guide bars with screws and nuts loosely assembeled Slide bars until snug and unable to slide in track. Tighten screws Pry out, remove tape, should now have a very smooth sliding motion. Pull guide bar out far enough to reach first counter sunk hole from below. Place desired wood base overtop, use a fence to keep base square. Slide base until happy with guide bar's location relative to base. Install first screw to lock location in. Slide assembly to other side of table and install second screw. Repeat steps 5-9 for second guide bar if needed. Remove assembly, flip over, install final center screw(s).
