Description
This is a replacement part for use in a Zeta Jass style bridge. It cradles the cylindrical brass plug that the pickups are mounted too. Originals are available but requires shipping the violin or at minimum the bridge to the manufacturer. I did not want to ship any part of my violin. I failed printing a one piece version with a 0.4mm nozzle but believe a 0.2mm would make a difference. Alas I was out of 0.2mm nozzles. After cutting the part in half it could be printed with a 0.4mm as a two piece unit. The seam produced presses together tight when installed. Only alteration needed is a small slit must be cut into one of the half's for the pickups wire to pass through. I used Ninjaflex TPU for the insulating value, flexibility and the undestructible nature of the filament. Settings for the filament will depend on your machine. I print TPU very slowly. 30-35 mm/p and I find 205c for extruder temp works best, your results may vary.
